The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) is the United Nations office responsible for promoting international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space. The Office serves as the secretariat for the General Assembly's committee dealing exclusively with international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space: the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS). The Committee has two subcommittees: the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee and the Legal Subcommittee.
This website lists UNCOPUOS documents received from the South African Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna. The on-line list includes the UN General Assembly documents produced by COPUOS (A/AC 105 series) and the COPUOS Secretariat documents (ST/SG/SER.E series). The list commences with documents which have come into our hands since February 2002.
The website lists documents by order of document number. Each entry includes a descriptive document title, publication date, and the number of pages in the document. Most of these documents are available online from the United Nations Document Server (search by document number as identified from the sites below, or by keywords). Should you wish to receive documents not available online, we will be happy to send them to you: use the "Contact Us" form above.
This service is offered by the Library of the South African Astronomical Observatory, which is the national library for astronomy and space science. The SAAO is a facility of the National Research Foundation.
